For those who prefer a vintage table....

and because we all know that "the old ones are the best", I thought that readers of my blog might enjoy browsing the website of The Vintage Table - a new crockery supplier which a friend told me about recently. If I was planning a wedding or something like that I would be looking to have crockery like this. Lovely.

  1. Lovely! Tea is the perfect accompaniment to reading and it should really be poured from a beautiful teapot!

  2. oh, this is going to be dangerous...

  3. I am in a swoon here in the States wishing, oh wishing, I could touch these lovely pieces right now. What an interesting idea to rent out your pieces for others to enjoy and make a little profit in the process. The old ones are indeed the best and there is nothing like tea served the proper way. Such a delightful way to start my day with all these beauties. Thank you.

  4. I agree, I agree! The beauty of a teapot enhances the tea ... plus a book, of course.

  5. What a great idea for a business! I loved the Wagon Trail plate--so kitschy.

  6. Hi Hannah,

What a great find this site was, but not so great when I discovered that a tea service I still have tucked away in the back of a cupboard and was given to us as a wedding present, was illustrated as being vintage, on the site.

I don't know whether to be flattered, call her and see if she wants to buy it from me, or to curl up in a corner somewhere after being associated with something vintage!!

What a great business idea though.
