I love to see photographs of authors and envisage them penning their manuscripts. I find it exciting that it has gone on through the ages, sometimes in secrecy, and that the desire to write cannot be contained.
I read The Man Who Loved Children and was very impressed by Stead. Then I read Letty Fox: Her Luck and found it a bit of a chore although Stead's storytelling pulled me along. The one by her I'd really like to read is called I'm Dying Laughing.
